Remember when I started Project Apartment, aka finally styling and shooting my apartment for you all to see? I started with some styling tips and then shared my kitchen.  Well, next step for project apartment is the living room bookcase. In the process of reorganizing and styling the bookcase, I sought some inspiration from the great wide interwebs.  Really the possibilities with a bookcase are endless, but some of the gems of advice I found are summarized in this post.  See after the jump for more tips.

Honestly the rules when styling a book case are that there are no rules.  This is your chance to display all those random trinkets you’ve been collecting over the years, your chance to stack books vertically and… wait for it… horizontally, even your chance to display art that you have no more room for on your walls.  Have fun with it and showcase all your pretties!

What is your favorite stacking method? What does your bookcase look like?  Stayed tuned for shots of my book case.
