This was a drink we whipped up for our mini- Oscar party in celebration of the slew of French movies that were nominated and took home some gold little statues. I’m not much of a bourbon/ whiskey drinker, but paired with the citrus, champagne, and dash of simple syrup… it takes the edge off and is the perfect blend.

Ingredients:
- 3/4 ounce bourbon
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup
- 1/2 ounce lemon juice
- 1 ounce OJ
- champagne (rest of glass)
- lemon peel, for garnish

Instructions:
- Mix bourbon, simple syrup, orange juice and lemon juice in shaker over ice. Pour in glass.
- Fill rest of glass up with champagne.
- Garnish with lemon peel.
